So a lot has been going on in the world. The earthquakes in Japan, Haiti, Burma, Chile, and Yushu. There has been a rash of violent tornadoes. Things are slowly coming to an end here on Earth. I wish ppl could see things the way I do.
When i say the world is slowly coming to an end I'm not trying to sound crazy or anything but it's the truth. All the crazy predictions about how the world is gonna end on May 21 (now October 21) are ridiculous! I believe in one God. I know that he will be returning for his ppl. These are not just opinions they are facts. I know God is coming back for me because i read it in the bible.
I have never tried to push my religion on anybody. That is something a person has to choose for themselves. I'm always happy when a friend of mine finds the Lord. It makes me feel good inside. I wish ppl would just give Christianity a try. Ppl think its a bunch of made up stuff but its not! One day when all the Christians are taken to Heaven my God, they're gonna realize what a terrible mistake they have made.

SOPHOMORE YEAR!!!
At this point I really don't know what to say. Sophomore year has been so many things for me. I've learned a lot and I've also grown a lot. I've opened my mind to new ideas and concepts in order to understand the minds of others. I've hit some high and low points, and worked my way through everything else. I'm so glad I'm half way through high school!
At the beginning of this school year I had no idea what I was in for. I had been working hard all summer for marching band and was excited to start a new year. I was also excited that we were no longer FRESHMEN!!!
School started out good, besides the miserable heat. I was doing good in all my classes and the marching band was doing extremely well considering what we had lost the year before. I was building new friendships and repairing old ones. I was enjoying the basketball and football games and long bus rides to band competitions.
I enjoyed all of my teachers and classes. I also enjoyed meeting new ppl and gaining new friends!

BAND TRIP!!!
A few weeks ago the band went on an amazing trip to Gatlinburg, TN. We went to attend the Smokey Montain Music Festival. Both bands and the orchestra did great! It was a long drive and a lot of fundraising but it was all worth it.
The first day of the trip felt soooo long! There was so much scenery throughout the eight hour drive. When we finally got to the Dixie Stampede we were all hungry and bored out of our minds. The show, along with the food was great! It was a really good time. We finally got to the hotel and checked in. We got a few hours of free time so we decided to walk down the strip and see what Gatlinburg had to offer.
Friday was the big performance day. I just wanted to play and get it over with so we explore more of Gatlinburg. After the first performance Alaina, Kristine and I walked around and grabbed some lunch. We went back to the convention center for the Symphonic and Orchestra performances. After the awards ceremony we returned to the hotel and changed into casual clothes and once again hit the streets.
I was really sad to have to leave Gatlinburg on Saturday. Before we left we took a tore of the Smokey Mountains. It was sooo beautiful! The views were spectacular! I really want to go back sometime and get to see all of the things I didn't get to see this time!

JUNIOR YEAR
I can't believe that we're almost at the end of our sophomore year! This year has gone by so fast! I'm excited to take on new challenges in my junior year. I can't wait til graduation so I can go onto college and get into the real world.
I'm going to be taking a lot of classes nexy year. My schedule is going to be full of AP and CP classes so I can be better prepared for college. I'm going to participate in the Accounting and Finance program. I'm also going to try and join a couple of clubs. I'm not really worried about being too busy. I'm learning to stop PROCRASTINATING so I can get my work done on time.
My summer is going to be busy too. I'm going to try to get a job, a license, volunteer, and take summer gym. I want to start getting used to working and driving so that I'm ready when I go onto college. I also want to read and write more so I'm used to it at the beginning of my junior year. It's a lot but I'm willing to put forward the effort...

EGYPT
There has been a lot of talk about things happening in Egypt. I really don't pay attention to things like that. The only reason i watch the news is the get the weather report. I knew that there were protests going on (didn't know why) I also knew that the President stepped down. So in order for this blog to be created I had to do a little research.
The President, Hosni Mubarak, resigned on Feburary 11 after weeks of protesting from the Egyptian ppl. The ppl of Egypt just want a government that isn't corrupt. Before this revolution they had no freedom and poverty was all around. Now they are being promised a presidential election in September.
I'm happy that the Egyptians won their freedom. Things like this make me think. Why is it that leaders so often forget to lead. Why do they hurt the ppl that they are supposed to be helping. We look back in history at all of the terrible things that have happened and say things like "How did we let that happen?" or "Something like that will never happen again." If we just open our eyes and look around the plains and desserts and cities of the world we will see that history does repeat itself. We do let terrible things happen. But we can stop some things from happening. That is what the ppl of Egypt did. They stopped things from getting worse. They stopped what could of turned into war and genocide.

LIFE
Life. Life is one of those words you just can't wrap your mind around. It has many different meanings to many different people. LIfe is the link that connects everything together. I often find myself wondering what the true meaning of life is. If I ever discover it I'll be sure to share with everbody.
When I think of life I think of all the different people that live on this earth. I think about love and hate. The word life brings so many other words to mind. Without life there wouldn't be anything. There would be no love or hate. No cars or bikes. There would be nothing. It's crazy just thinking about it.
The meaning of life to me is living. I know that sounds stupid, but if you really think about it it makes sense. Everybody dies but not everybody gets to live. People die everyday. Some of them never got the chance to live. We're all lucky to be able to breath every breath everyday. Without life there would be nothing to search for. I don't understand when people say they have nothing to live for. There's always tomorrow to live for no matter what.

FEMALES
So females these days are pretty funny. I don't understand why some of them act the way they do. We complain about males and wine about everything else but don't ever really look at what all we do. I think its about time we do. I think its better coming from another females point of view than a males. So I'm gonna just tell it like it is.
One of the worse things about females is that soo many of them are FAKE. It takes like 20 years to make a friend then all of a sudden they're turning on you and revealing their true colors. Do we really need that extra drama? NO! So that means we need to start eliminating the fakeness. If you can't be real then stay home!
Drama, Drama, Drama! Will we ever escape it? If there's gonna be drama, why not make it over something important. It seems that all the drama these days is over a guy. We need to take a step back and ask ourselves "Is he really worth all it?" Most of the time its a NO, we just don't wanna admit it. There are better things to be arguing over like football and politics.
Come on ladies, lets get it together lol!

MUSIC
Im so happy we get to do an entire blog on MUSIC! Music (other than language) is the greatest thing we as human beings have. I mean, music brings ppl of all languages, races, ages, and cultures together. I absolutely loveeee music!
Music is music and ppl are ppl. We are all different so that means we all like different kinds of music. I hate it when ppl say that rap and heavy metal aren't music. Just because you don't like that type of music doesn't mean that it's not music. Music is a way for ppl to express themselves freely. If ppl couldn't express themselves, what would we have?
My favorite kind of music is Hip Hop, R&B and some Rap. The reason why I like this type of music is because the artist speak about real things. I can often relate to things that they are talking about. R&B is my favorite. Its all mostly singing. The topics vary but a lot of it is about love and life. Hip Hop artist often talk about things that are going on in the world and their lives. Rap is pretty much the same, but it gets a little deeper.I hate Rap that is all about drugs, money, sex, and violence. It's still music, but just not my type of music.
My favorite male R&B artist would be Maxwell. I love all of his music. It's poetry with music. My favorite female R&B artist is Alicia Keys. She has such a beautiful voice. Drake is my favorite Hip Hop and Rap artist. He's fairly new but it seems like he's been around forever. He's so talented. Other artists I like are: Chris Brown, J. Holiday, Mary J. Blige, Lionel Richie, Jennifer Hudson, Keisha Cole, Kid Cudi, Jordin Sparks, Mariah Carey, Neyo, Usher, Robi Thicke, and Michael Jackson.
