BUGS!!!

So this video kinda blew my mind. I never really thought about eating bugs, but this makes me wanna try it. He had so many interesting facts about bugs and how they affect you. I would definitely try a grasshopper if it was cooked and I had a glass of water. I'm open to trying new things, just not spiders or maggots.

I would never give up my chicken but I wouldn't mind having bugs for dinner a couple of nights per week. If they taste so good and are so good for you then I don't really have a problem with it. If we were raised eating bugs it wouldn't be as weird. Bugs are in chocolate and lots of other common foods so why not just eat them?

Some of us just need to expand our horizons and start trying new things. Chocolate covered bugs sounds crazy but you just have to try it or you will never know.

KIDS THESE DAYS...

So kids these days are soo disrespectful.  So I was in Kroger and this little girl was telling her mom to shut up and to leave her alone.  I don't know what it is, but some kids just think they can act however they want to whoever they want.

I don't think that their behavior is a direct result of the way they've been raised.  I think its more of who they are hanging out with.  Kids who grow up with strict parents seem like they should be good kids but it isn't like that.  There's always that stage that kids go through where they lie and have temper tantrums.  But its starting to become a habit.  They lie all the time about anything and everything.  A little girl telling her mom to shut up is bad enough but to disrespect you mom in PUBLIC is something completely different.

I love kids, but they act like their grown but their really not.  We need to teach our little brothers and sisters what respect is.  If we dont this world is going to get worse than what it already is.

AIRPORT SECURITY

Sooo as I was listening to the news this morning, I continued to hear the ridiculous stories about security checks at the airport.  How far do you think we should go? Is it appropriate for security guards to make passengers take their clothes off?  Where do we draw the line?  You be the judge.

Danielle, her mother and I decided to go to Costa Rica for the weekend.  As we approached security in the airport, I became a little nervous.  I had been seeing all of the crazy stories on TV so I really didn't know what to expect.  I got up there and I was told to take my shoes off and all my jewelry.  Danielle was told to do the same.  She had to go through multiple times because of her braces and piercings. Danielle's mother went through fine.

One story I heard was about a women who survived breast cancer.  She was going through security and she told them she had artificial breasts and she was told to take them out to confirm it.  Now to me that is just disrespectful.  I would say that is too far.  When it comes to the point where security guards are touching sensitive parts of your body I think its too much.

FRIENDS

Friends, (if you hang with the right ones) are there for you when you need them and cool to be around. It takes a while to develop a good friendship, but when you do they make life better.

Bad friends are the ones that tell everybody all of your secrets. They go behind your back and get with the guy you like. They tell you you look good when you really look a hot mess. It's great to even have a chance to be "friends" with a person like that. You learn a life lesson from them. When you know what a bad friend is, it makes it easier to find a good friend.

Good friends are kinda hard to find. There are soooo many fake people in this world. But once you find a good friend I guess it makes it all worth it. I have a lot of friends, but only a few best friends. Kristine is one of my BEST friends. She keeps my secrets and keeps me happy. She's genuine, loving, funny, unique, beautiful, and just awesome. She knows how to cheer me up when I'm down and shut me up when I'm too happy.  Everybody deserves to have somebody that they can tell everything to. We all need a best friend in our life, just make sure they're real.

WHEN I GROW UP

When I grow up I wanna be a zoologist. I love animals and everything
about them. I would be really cool to get to work at the zoo for a
living. It's better than bein stuck in a cubicle for eight hours. I
almost feel as if it would be easier to work  with animals instead of
people. Animals have personalities but they can't really talk so that
makes things a little more simple.

When I grow up I wanna live downtown. I love the atmosphere and just
feeling like there's always something to do. I would really prefer a
townhouse over a big building. The view might be great but buildings
over 15 stories seem unsafe to me.  Living downtown would give me
access to public transportation and a lot of entertainment. Even
though it's fast paced and busy area I can just picture myself in the
middle of it all.

When I grow up I wanna have four kids (maybe). I love kids sooo much,
especially when they are babies. Kids bring a lot of joy into the
world. I look around a see so many disrespectful kids and that makes
me wanna raise my kids to be respectful. I wanna have two girls and
two boys. I have few names picked out but that's not all my decision.
I just love the thought of having a baby and watching it grow and
learn and finally go into the real world.

So I guess when I grow up I wanna be a mother of four that lives
downtown and works at the zoo :]

HUNGRY

This video was kinda sad for me to watch.  I feel bad for the Max and his father.  The father seems to be very stressed by his Max's condition.  i cant really imagine myself in a situation like this.  i mean i can barely handle my life right now, so i think having a child with a condition similar to this would be really tough for me.

I know that when i get older and decide to start a family, i will love that family, even if that means i have a baby with down syndrome.  If anything, I feel like that would make me love that baby even more (please do not take that sentence the wrong way, I'm pretty sure you know what I mean...)  Yeah it would be stressful and emotional, but isn't that apart of life?  You never really know what your gonna get.  God gives different things to different people for different reasons.  You just gotta take it and make it work.

Just because somebody is a little different doesn't mean that they don't want the same things as you.  Just because somebody is a little different doesn't mean that they don't wanna be loved.  We shouldn't treat people bad just because they have a condition (which by the way is completely out of their control!)  That's cruel!  Doesn't everybody want respect?  Don't we all want to live in a loving and peaceful world?  Sure we do, but that will never happen.  There are just too many hateful people, careless people, rude people, and ignorant people that will take out every bit of love and peace out of your life.  But if some of us just make a difference in the way we treat others who are different, then this world could just be a little better :]

TRASH

Well...this video is VERY upsetting.  It makes me feel angry and kinda guilty.  My anger comes from the fact that we the people that live on this beautiful EARTH are not doing enough to keep it beautiful!  Humans are making materials that cannot be decomposed back into the Earth, and when they do make recycable materials, not enough people recycle to make a difference.

I think that if we are going to be making new materials for products we should make them so that if they are thrown away and put in a landfill, they will decompose quickly.  Or the new material should be required to be RECYCLED.  The people that are designing and creating these new materials need to be SMART about how they should be disposed of.

We all need to be a little smarter about how we take care of our waste!  If it is recycable the it should be recycled!  if we don't change the way we're disposing of our waste it is going to eventually take over our whole Earth!  We're only hurting ourselves and our future generations...so think about it!

PICTURE DAY!!!

haha so today is picture day!  i really wish it wasn't such a big deal, but as everything else in the world it is. so as everybody else did i dressed up a (a little bit).  i hate getting my picture taken so this isn't my favorite day ever.  i think we all get a little nervous right before that blinding flash.  but actually looking at the picture is much worse.  then retaking the picture hoping for a better result.  in my case BOTH of my pictures were absolutely terrible :(...but does it really matter?  yea it'll be in the yearbook and on my grandma's refrigerator but who cares?!  i definitely don't...

DOLL FACE

Well this video is very weird but I understand what it is trying to say. the girl when she first comes out of the box is dull looking.  when she sees the woman on the tv she is fasinated.  she wants to look like her, so she does.  she seems satisfied when she is done because she looks identical to the woman on the tv screen.  then the woman on the screen changes.  the girl is confused but gets closer to the screen to analyze the change.  she makes herself look like the woman on the screen yet again.  but immidiately after she changes her looks the the woman on the screen changes again.  the girl looks angry because she had just changed herself to match the woman and all of a sudden she changes again.  even though the girl is mad she still wants to look like the woman on the screen.  but her box won't let her get any closer to the tv.  she wants to look like the woman on the screen so bad, so she tries to force her way to the screen but she just can't stretch that far.  her body can't take it anymore and she come's crashing down to the ground.
This to me means people will do anything to fit into society.  they will change theirselves to look like somebody that their not.  not knowing the consequences they change and change and change just so they don't feel different from everybody else.  in the process of doing that they are all just destroying themselves, ripping out who they really are.  but in the end nobody is able to handle the pressure of fitting in.  and when I say "them" and "they" I mean us, humans.

...

Well this is...different, new, confusing, fun, interesting, and kinda cool! I really don't know what all to say but ima give it a good try...

So it's like the first week of and it's all going good.  All of my classes and teachers are cool.  I'm still really loving this school.  The only problem is the freshmen!  Aint they just so annoying!  But hey, we were them last year, I guess :T.
